Douglas Fir, Kiln Dried, Heat Treated, No. 2 & Better grade lumber. Often described as a 24 ft, 2 x 8 (nominal sizing), this product typically measures 1-1/2 in thick by 7-1/4 in wide. Appearance notes: Surfaced on 4 Sides.
- Douglas Fir is the major species produced in the West, with more volume shipped than any other species, and its sterling performance history is recognized the world over
- No. 2 & Better grade lumber is used in all general construction; this grade is designed for the many uses where higher strength properties are not needed and where serviceability is important; few defects are permitted and knots of any quality are allowed
- Kiln dried – moisture content of 19% or less; Heat Treated lumber is heated in a closed chamber in order to kill insects, fungi, or micro-organisms
- The board has been surfaced smooth on all 4 sides
